Vineyards and Microclimate

Grapes for the Pinot Gris are sourced from Marlborough’s Wairau and Awatere Valleys, regions known for their cool, maritime climate and diverse soil types. The significant diurnal temperature variation—warm days and cool nights—enhances flavor development while preserving acidity. This climate, combined with well-draining alluvial soils, contributes to the wine’s intense aromatics and crisp profile.


Vinification & Aging Methods

Harvested during the cool of night to retain freshness, the grapes undergo gentle pressing. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the varietal’s vibrant aromatics. Post-fermentation, the wine rests on fine lees to enhance mouthfeel and complexity before bottling, without any oak influence, ensuring a pure expression of Pinot Gris.


Tasting Notes

Pale straw in color, the 2020 vintage offers lifted aromas of ripe pear, apple, and floral notes with a touch of clove. The palate is ripe and rich with a good oily texture, featuring flavors of peach and apple. The wine is well-balanced with fresh acidity and a relatively crisp finish.

This Pinot Gris pairs well with a variety of dishes, including antipasto, fresh seafood, and Southeast Asian cuisine. Its crisp acidity and subtle sweetness complement mildly spicy dishes, making it a versatile choice for diverse culinary experiences.

Storage and Aging Potential

Designed for early enjoyment, this wine is best consumed within 1–2 years of the vintage to appreciate its fresh fruit character. Store bottles in a cool, dark place with a consistent temperature. While not intended for long-term aging, proper storage will maintain its quality over the short term.
