Winery Background and History
Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron and perfected by Madame Clicquot (Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin), Maison Veuve Clicquot revolutionized Champagne with the first vintage bottling (1810) and riddling (1816). Its Vintage cuvées embody the house’s legacy of innovation, sourcing top Grand Cru and Premier Cru fruit to express terroir, power, and elegance .
Producer and Wine Maker
Cellar Masters Dominique Demarville and Jean‑Marc Gallot lead a tasting committee that selects over 70 base and reserve wines to build the 2015 Vintage. Their expertise ensures a wine with structure, aromatic depth, and house character .
Vineyards and Micro Climate
Grapes are sourced from top vineyards across Champagne. The blend: 50 % Pinot Noir (13 % from Bouzy Grand Cru), 30 % Chardonnay, 20 % Pinot Meunier. The region offers chalk-rich soils, cool maritime climate, and diurnal temperature shifts for optimal ripening .
Vinification & Aging Methods
10 % of the blend is fermented/aged in large oak casks; the remainder in stainless steel. After blending base and reserve wines, the cuvée undergoes extended lees aging before dosage at 6 g/L .
Tasting notes

Food & Wine Pairing
Well-suited to shellfish (oysters, lobster, turbot tempura), seaweed salad, miso and Cajun-seasoned dishes, grilled seafood, and gourmet cuisine with bold, textured flavors .
Service Methods and Temperatures
Serve chilled at 10–12 °C in a white-wine or tulip-shaped glass to highlight structure and aromatic nuance. No decanting required; gentle swirl enhances expression .
Storage and Aging Potential
This vintage possesses impressive aging potential and can be cellared 15+ years under optimal conditions (9–12 °C, stable humidity, darkness) .
