Volume: 700ml
Distillery Background and History
Malfy is distilled by Torino Distillati, a family-owned distillery in Moncalieri, near Turin, Italy. The brand launched its gin range in 2016, drawing inspiration from the Amalfi Coast and Italian citrus tradition.
Master Distiller and Production Philosophy
Malfy’s production team aims to balance Italian citrus brightness with traditional gin structure. For the Rosa variant, their philosophy is to let Sicilian pink grapefruit dominate aromatically while retaining integrity of juniper and botanical complexity.
Source of Ingredients (Grain, Water, Yeast)
The base spirit is neutral grain spirit (typical gin base). Botanicals include handpicked juniper, Italian lemons, Sicilian pink grapefruit, along with supporting ones. Water used for blending is local Italian water.
Distillation Process
Malfy uses vacuum (low-pressure) distillation to preserve delicate citrus and botanical aromatics. The peel of pink grapefruit is macerated along with botanicals before distillation.
Maturation & Cask Information
This gin is not aged in casks. It is bottled post distillation with no wood influence.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Bright fresh grapefruit, citrus peel, rhubarb and anise.
Palate: Lively citrus and grapefruit front, balanced by juniper backbone, with soft rhubarb nuance.
Finish: Clean, lingering citrus and gentle botanical echo.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Pairs well with seafood (shrimp, shellfish), ceviche, citrus salads, soft cheeses, light desserts (lemon tart, grapefruit sorbet).
