Winery Background and History

Alìe is a modern and elegant Rosato from Tenuta Ammiraglia, a coastal estate in Tuscany owned by the noble Frescobaldi family. First introduced as a contemporary expression of Mediterranean beauty, it combines traditional Frescobaldi terroir with the coastal breezes of Maremma to produce a rosé celebrated for its sensuality and refinement. 

Producer and Winemaker

Crafted by the Frescobaldi winemaking team at Tenuta Ammiraglia, the wine benefits from meticulous vineyard management and precision in the cellar—an approach guided by both the terroir and the expertise of the Frescobaldi family. 

Vineyards and Micro Climate

Grapes are grown in the coastal Maremma region, where maritime influence, sandy-clay soils, and steady breezes lend freshness and mineral undertones. This terroir ensures aromatic clarity and balanced acidity in the final wine. 

Vinification & Aging Methods

The 2024 harvest was pressed whole-cluster with great care and decanted for at least 12 hours in an oxygen-minimized environment. Fermentation took place in stainless steel below 19°C, followed by a few months on fine lees and bottle aging prior to release. 

Tasting Notes

Alìe 2024 displays a delicate soft pink color with peach highlights. Aromas evoke citrus peel, nectarine, rose, peony, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is fresh and savory with excellent aromatic correspondence and a long, refined finish.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with Mediterranean dishes like charcuterie, seafood paella, grilled fish, and roasted vegetables—its elegant freshness complements light, flavorful cuisine. James Suckling particularly suggests it for charcuterie, seafood, and grilled vegetables.
