Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage with Gift Box 2009
Country: France
Region:
Volume: 750ml
Winery Background and History:
Dom Pérignon is Moët & Chandon’s prestige vintage Champagne established in 1921 and released only in exceptional years. The Rosé variant has been crafted since 1959 and the 2009 Rosé magnum celebrates a return to a richer, more expressive style while retaining the elegance and aging potential characteristic of the house
Producer and Wine Maker:
Champagne is made under the hand of Chef de Cave Vincent Chaperon who selects from 17 Grand Cru vineyards. The blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay undergoes precise fermentation in stainless steel and oak followed by over a decade of lees aging before disgorgement in bottle for optimal complexity
Vineyards and Micro Climate:
Grapes for the 2009 Rosé come from top terroirs in Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. The vintage was marked by a warm sunny summer and long, cool, dry September. Chalky soils and maritime conditions produced grapes with rich phenolic ripeness balanced by vibrant acidity and depth
Vinification & Aging Methods:
Partial oak fermentation and inclusion of about 10 % to 15 % still Pinot Noir provide structure and color depth. The cuvée mature on lees for approximately 13 years before disgorgement with low dosage to preserve freshness texture and minerality in magnum format
Tasting Notes:
The magnum pours with a radiant salmon pink hue and fine mousse. The nose evokes sweet red cherry, blood orange, spice, pomegranate, and crushed strawberries. The palate is rich and creamy with red fruit, mocha, mineral clarity, and a persistent structured finish
Food & Wine Pairing:
Pairs elegantly with luxurious seafood such as lobster, scallops, sashimi, and langoustine. Works beautifully with truffle risotto, creamy poultry, mushroom-focused dishes, and aged cheeses that echo its spice and fruit depth
Service Methods and Temperatures:
Serve at 10 °C in large tulip or fine-stemmed glasses to enhance aromatics mousse and structure. No decanting is required. A gentle swirl releases subtle tertiary complexity
Storage and Aging Potential:
When cellared at 10 °C to 12 °C with 70 % to 80 % humidity and darkness, this magnum will continue evolving gracefully into the 2030s and beyond, developing tertiary notes of honey pastry spice smoke and saline while maintaining freshness structure
Grape Varietals & percentage used:
Pinot Noir 56 % including still Pinot Noir · Chardonnay 44 %
ABV (Alcohol by Volume):
12.5 %
